The summer weather in the Black Hills area is sunny warm and dry. Daytime temperatures climb into the 70s and 80s and sometimes the 90s. Early mornings are cool. Humidity levels are low so even the hottest days are comfortable. Sporadic thunderstorms over the Black Hills in the afternoon and evenings are frequent and usually brief. The hottest month is July with an average temperature of 73 degrees. Average annual rainfall is 18.07 inches and 38 inches of snow.
